*Tonto's Project for Spay/Neuter*

Who is Tonto and what is the spay/neuter project?

Tonto was one of the first dogs that California Pit Bull Rescue adopted out back in 2013 as a wee puppy. He has continues to lead an adventurous life throughout California, New York and Maryland. His generous adopters made a large donation to California Pit Bull Rescue, which inspired us to create an opportunity for more members of the community to get their dogs spayed / neutered.

Recently, Chef Dennis, Chef Norma and their team from Luce SF competed in the annual HALL Wines' Cabernet Cookoff and won first place! California Pit Bull Rescue was their non-profit of choice and we have decided to set aside all of their winnings for Tonto's Project.

We are thrilled to be able to offer free spay/neuter for pit bull type dogs. The cities we are currently serving are Richmond, San Pablo, Pittsburg / Bay Point, Antioch & Vallejo.

Please complete the request form below and we will get back to you within the week to let you know if your request has been approved.

Just a few things to note ...

- We cover the cost up to $500 per surgery, anything extra will be your responsibility. Only expenses related to spay / neuter and microchip will be covered.

- Dog(s) must be up to date on Rabies and Parvo vaccine to qualify, please show proof of vaccines or opt to get them on the surgery date.

- Only 2 pets allowed per household, per year (females get priority)

- 72 hour advance notice if you are unable to make this appointment, so we can give your slot to another pet in need

- This is not a voucher but a sponsor for spay/neuter surgery to occur only at our vet at VCA Animal Care Clinic in El Sobrante. Do not call our vet directly for scheduling. We will be handling all scheduling of surgeries.
